Beginning in December of 2007 I began with the goal of reading the New Testament. After having read through the Gospels and Acts, the first verse I read tonight is Romans 13:8. "Owe no one anything, except to love one another... Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law."
A very important and powerful message.

I think God is really moving powerfully in your life. The Bible Says that you will find God if you seek Him with all your heart(Jeremiah 29:11-13). Finding God--the true God and not one of our own creation-- is the greatest discovery anyone can make for in finding our creator, we will find the true meaning of life and our place in it. But remember, "we love him because He first loved us" (1 John 4:19). We seek God because God has first sought us and put the desire and discipline in our heart to yearn for him and the faith to find him. NOt unto us but to HIm be all the glory, praise and honor. -vieng
Strange you pointed that passage out. Yesterday I was randomly looking for passages to read at our wedding (for about 10 minutes). I randomly flipped to Romans (the only book I browsed) and I remember reading that passage.
Hi Derrick,
I also agree with you that it is very touching. We should give him glory of everythihng we do.
Matt,
Let us give more glory to God. The bible verse 'coincidence' has occured more frequently, with you, with my uncles and aunts, with Vieng... There is something like over 1000 chapters in the bible. Let us continue to seek and we will find.
Another passage, The Wedding at Cana spoke to Vieng for his wedding. He explained that it showed that in our marraige we need Christ.
Alright, hey I'm joyful to see us sharing with one another on this site.

Derrick, if you didn't know, this is Kelsey.
About tongues and prophecy, back in those days they actually had tongues that were actual languages given as a gift by the Holy Spirit (read the first chapters on the book of Acts). Tongues that were actual languages amazed those who understood those languages and served as a sign to catch people's attention and amaze them so they would listen to God's message.
Later on, it seems that there were other tonguess that were not any human language, so that if any one hears it, they would think that the person was crazy and confusing so it would not be any convincing evidence for them to believe in God.
So there seems to be two kinds of tongues, one is an actual language and another kind is not an actual human language at all. The tongue that is an actual language is for unbelievers to amaze and convince them, and the tongue that is not a actual language is only for the believer to practice between himself/herself and God, unless there is an interpreter if they practive corporally in a church gathering context.
About prophecy, this is definitely for the believer and unbeliever, but for the unbeliever it as a powerful irrefutable evidence that God knows his heart and sins. If an unbeliever hears a preacher that preaches as if he knows exactly what kinds of sin the person is guilty of and makes him face himself in the light of God's holiness, righteuosness, and judgement, this will be very powerful in convincing him that God sees and knows his heart. This happened once when Jesus spoke to a samaritan woman at a well (John chapter 4) and told her that he knew that she had had 5 husbands and the man that she was living with was not her husband. With that knowledge she knew he was a prophet of God and gave him more respect and attention to what he said, so that he was able to win her soul.
